Thomas Jackson

Thomas A. 10/29/1936 - 12/2/2021 Portage Passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the age of 85. Tom was born in Kalamazoo on October 29, 1936 to the late Emery and Margaret (Hill) Jackson. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for 4 years. Tom retired from Graphic Packaging as a Beater Engineer. He was an avid golfer and bowler, and also enjoyed camping, U of M college football, the Detroit Lions, and most of all he cherished his time with his family. Tom is survived by his loving wife Janice (TenBusschen) Jackson; children, Thomas A. Jackson Jr., Gail (Mark) Allen, Sharalee (Robert) Hill, Diane (Scott) Klimach; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 3 cousins who were like siblings to him, Harvey Jackson, Lillian Nelson and Darrell Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Norton; and great grand daughter Grace. A Memorial Service will be held at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services 411 East Centre Ave Portage, MI 49002 at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 8th with visitation from 12 pm to time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in memory of Tom.
