DEYOUNG, THOMAS E. Thomas E. DeYoung, aged 64, of Grandville, MI, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, after a short battle with Pancreatic cancer. Tom was a Vietnam Veteran. He was preceded in death by his father, Ed DeYoung; his brother, Phil DeYoung; his sister-in-law, Cindy DeYoung. He is survived by his wife, Betty; his children, Shelly (Dennis) Jones, and Michael (Delila) DeYoung, their children, Michael, Felicia, Carlos, Felix; his mother, Ida DeYoung; step-children, Wayne (Lisa) Franken; their children, Jeremy, Mirissa, Mark, Kevin (Miriam) Franken, their son, Tyler; Keith (Kelly) Franken, their children, Kennedy, Ethan, Jill (Jason) Myers. Also deceased, daughter, Sherry Lynn Franken. He is survived by brothers and sisters, Dave (Kathy) DeYoung, Bonnie Hofmann, Mary (John) Adams, Cheryl (Paul) Cline, Ken (Sylvia) DeYoung, and all of their children; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Arlene DeHaan, Clarence and Jean DeYoung, Anna Mae DeYoung, Joan VanSolkema, Glen and Esther DeVries. Three brothers-in-law preceded Tom in death, Ted DeHaan, Glenn VanSolkema, Harold DeYoung. The Funeral Service will be held 11 am Saturday, May 12, at Providence Christian Reformed Church, 7730 Eastern Ave. SE, with Pastor Bob Boersma and Pastor J. Barrett Wernlund officiating. Interment in Jamestown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to help with funeral expenses.
