Theresa Diehl

Diehl, Theresa Ann 12/20/1950 - 8/25/2022 of Sturgis Theresa's life on earth has ended only to continue in Heaven. Born in Flint, Michigan to Bernice and Dale Knapko. She is survived by her loving husband of forty-eight years, Stephen Diehl; sons, Eric and Ryan; six grandchildren; and her sister Tina Minarik and her husband, Jerry. Theresa attended Western Michigan University and Delta College, and worked in retail management, social work, and education. She lived in Brazil for two years and traveled the world with her husband for ten summers, serving as delegation leader to high school students through the People to People Student Ambassador Program. Theresa was a devout Catholic and enjoyed being a part of Bible Study groups. She also was a part of several social sorority groups over the years, while living in Michigan and North Carolina. She was passionate for finding deals and her wardrobe would showcase that. She was always well put together and classy. Theresa's life changed eight years ago when she was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and later dementia. It was a long and agonizing experience for her and those who loved her. She never complained or asked why me. She will be remembered and ever cherished for her love of family, and as being kind, thoughtful, selfless, humble, well mannered, creative, and for her infectious smile. Theresa was our rock, ever supportive, devoted, loyal, and a truly beautiful person. As a result of her strong religious convictions and faith in God, we believe she is now in Heaven, whole again, and at peace in His glory, free at last. We love you and God Bless you.
