Felty, Terry Terry L. Felty, 66, of Kalamazoo, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020, in Battle Creek Michigan. Born on January 20, 1954 in Grand Rapids to Roy (Ruth) Felty. Terry is survived by daughters; Shawntell (Tim) Bazan, Elisha (Jason) Harrington, mother Ruth Ann (Pat) Paterson, grandchildren; Bryce Bazan, Kaiden Bazan, Jackson Bazan, Skylar (Kayla) Harrington, Taylar Harrington and Pipar Harrington, and great grandchild Helen Bazan. Also survived by brother Kim Felty, nephew Troy (Amy) Vincent, nieces Felisha (Zach) Gleeson, Chelsea Felty, Casey Bristol, Chloe Felty and many more great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by father, Roy Felty, brother Jeffrey Felty, sister in law, Sue Felty and grandsons Cody Bazan and Parkar Harrington.Terry attended Comstock high school before enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corp in 1972 serving until 1975. He received medals and honors before discharging. On May 12, 1975 Terry married Vickie Thomas and started their family. Terry was a hard and dedicated worker and provider for his family. Terry was a longtime concrete worker retiring from High Grade Materials Co. Most people knew Terry as Papa. Everyone Terry met he made a part of his family and he loved unconditionally. He cared and loved each family member as if they were one of his own children/grandchildren. Even with his health struggles the last few years Terry's focus was his family and making sure everyone had what they needed. Terry's love for family, cooking, Kwings, camping, coin collecting and Harley's made him the man we all loved and will greatly miss. Private services are being held for Terry. Terry will be laid to rest with military honors at Fort Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Terry's memory to the Veterans Association.
