Teresa Ann Tonelli, age 75, passed away in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday, March 28, 2020, after a lengthy illness. Teri was born August 30, 1944 in Battle Creek, MI, the daughter of the late Bruno and Mary (Britvec) Bragagnini. She graduated from St. Augustine Catholic High School, Class of 1962, where she was Class Salutatorian. She went on to earn her degree in Education from Western Michigan University, where she met the love of her life, Donald Lee Tonelli, formerly of Chicago, IL. The two were united in marriage on July 1, 1967, at St. Augustine Cathedral in Kalamazoo. The following year they welcomed a son, Brian Lee, into the world. Teri spent the majority of her career teaching middle school children, possessing a sharp mind that loved reading and solving puzzles, especially crosswords and sudoku. She was also an avid golfer, and she and Don traveled extensively throughout their lives together. In their retirement years they were "snow birds", splitting their time between homes in Portage, MI and Mesquite, NV, where she fell in love with the mountain scenery. She will be remembered most for her easygoing smile and her contagious laugh. She is survived by her loving husband Don and son Brian, both of Mesquite, NV, as well as by her stepmother Barbara Bragagnini of Stuart, FL, brother Richard (Janice) Bragagnini of Schoolcraft, MI, and sister Betty Wyant Stora of South Haven, MI. Also surviving are many cousins, nieces, and nephews. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. No services have been announced at this time. The family invites you to leave a message or a memory of Teri in her guest book at: Virgin Valley Mortuary Mesquite, NV www.virginvalleymortuary.com
