Sylvia Hoyt Bussema

Hoyt Bussema, Sylvia Kalamazoo Age 93, passed away on December 29, 2020. Sylvia was born in Zeeland, MI, on November 10, 1927, the daughter of Arthur and Adelaide (Voss) Feyen. She was active in her church, Haven Reformed Church in many Bible studies and small groups. She enjoyed travelling. She volunteered at Borgess Hospital. Nothing was more important to her than her family, especially her grandchildren. Sylvia is survived by her children, Ric (Lynn) Hoyt of Kalamazoo, Suzanne (Kevin) Klok, and Jim (Robin) Hoyt; grandchildren, Jessica Hoyt, Abby (Matt) Smith, Jason (Kari) Hoyt, Jamie (Jake) Kudary, Jordan Hoyt, Morgan Hoyt, Ben (Nicole) Klok, Sara (Patrick) Crumb, Rebecca (Tucker) Feekings, Stephanie (Mike) Smith, Ashley (Nick) Benavides, 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Tom) Mackey; a niece and 2 nephews; sister in law, Mary Hoyt; step-children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 husbands, James Allen Hoyt and John William Bussema; sons, Phillip Hoyt and Steven Hoyt. A private graveside service to remember Sylvia's life is being planned. She will be laid to rest next to her first husband, James Hoyt in Riverside Cemetery, Kalamazoo.
