Sylvester Ray Knox, 52, passed Tuesday, November 27, 2007 in Fort Worth, TX. Born to Levester and Edna Mae (Mack) Knox in Battle Creek, Michigan on October 21, 1955. He attended Battle Creek Public Schools. He enjoyed life. Family and friends were important to him. He is survived by his children: son Jesse McCracken, daughter Nicole Dyer, and five grandchildren, all of Battle Creek. Also surviving are his mother, Edna Mae Knox; sisters, Shirley Hudson, Edna Virgil-Knox, Vivian Knox; brother, Johnnie Knox of Battle Creek; uncle, Andrew Mack of Fort Worth, Texas; and a host nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Levester Knox; brother, Rev. Levester Brown; three children; grandparents, Johnny and Eska (Vaughn) Knox, Archie and Eugene (Greene) Carter, and Eugene Mack; and great-grandmother, Pearlie (Lewis) Williams. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be celebrating his life Sunday, December 9, 2-6 p.m. at the Post Cereal Sportman's Club, 637 Hubbard Road.
