Suzanne Cheek

Age 94, of Kalamazoo, MI, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 10, 2018. She was born in Middleville, Michigan on February 8, 1924. Suzanne retired from Kalamazoo Valley Community College after a long career serving in the placement/continuing education department. She enjoyed spending time at her cottage at Gun Lake and shared many memories with friends and family there. Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Gladys Gardner, and her sister, Janet Gardner Moss. She is survived by her son, Frederick "Fritz" Cheek, daughter-in-law, Anne Cheek, granddaughters, Sarah Cheek Toomey and Katie Mouatt, and great grandchildren Oliver Fritz Toomey, Mae Lucille Toomey, and Emmie Anne Mouatt. Per Suzanne's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. A special thank you to Margie McQueen, her longtime caregiver, for her compassionate care, and friendship.
