Susan Duff

Duff, Susan J. Kalamazoo Susan J Duff age 88, of Kalamazoo Michigan passed away peacefully, with loved ones at her side. Susan was the daughter of Clifford and Dorothy Kuhl and wife of John W Duff. Susan grew up in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, where she was an excellent student who loved mathematics. She attended Eastern Michigan University and later worked at the General Motors Technical Center in Warren Michigan. She then transferred to Kalamazoo where she was the first woman hired at the new Fisher Body plant on Sprinkle Road. There she was the Executive Assistant to the Comptroller. Susan was a Docent at Binder Park Zoo as animals were dear to her, especially her many pets throughout the years. Susan had several hobbies including knitting, quilting, sewing, and ceramics. Susan was a blessing to her family, a beloved Mother, Grandmother, sister, aunt, and spouse. She is preceded in death by her son Richard Theakston and Husband John Duff. Susan is survived by her son Tom Theakston, daughter Lynda Marnon (Ed), sister Sharron Stoelzl (Pete), brother Clifford Kuhl, grand children Hallie, Eddie, and Kella Marnon, niece Karin Miral (Victor) and their children Sydney and Ashley. Her passing has left a hole in our hearts and lives. A private family memorial has been held. Memorial donations can be made to Animal Rescue Project, Kalamazoo.
