Mr. Steven Joseph Flach, age 60, died Friday, April 27, 2007, at Spectrum Health- Blodgett Campus in Grand Rapids after a prolonged illness.
Steve was born December 21, 1946 in Battle Creek, the son of Joseph F. and Helen (Cernius) Flach.
He was a veteran, proudly serving his country in both the United States Army and Air Force during the Vietnam War.
He was an active member of the Cycle Conservation Club of Michigan.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Flach.
He is survived by his mother, Helen Flach of Lakeview; his brother, Daniel Flach of Iowa City; his sisters, Susan (Harold) Heckel of Tucson, AZ and Lucy (Paul) Cook of Lakeview; his nieces, Michelle (Jeff) Morris of Fort Wayne, IN, Christine (Alan) Legowik of Maryland, and Heidi Heckel of Tucson, AZ; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Youngman-McCullough Chapel, Lakeview, with Rev. Zane Abberger of Lakeview Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
