Wrench, Stephen James "Steve" 5/13/1955 - 3/2/2021 Ramsey, Minnesota Stephen James Wrench, age 65, of Ramsey following a 17-month courageous battle with cancer. Steve was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and graduated from Hackett High School in 1973 and went on to earn a BBA in Accounting & Business Administration from Western Michigan University and a Masters of Business Taxation from University of Minnesota. In his early career, he worked for Price Waterhouse CPA's, Coopers & Lybrand CPA's, Charles Bailly & Company CPA's and IDS Financial Services. Steve launched his own Tax & Advisory Services in 1994 and built many strong and lasting relationships with his clients over the years before retiring in 2016. Steve was a man of integrity, ethics, loyalty and charm with a smile and laugh that was infectious and heartwarming. Steve enjoyed many outdoor activities, including golf, swimming, hiking, camping, travel and keeping his yard in meticulous order. But most of all, Steve enjoyed being around the family and friends that he cherished and loved so deeply. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Sally E. Wrench and Wallace J. Wrench, father-in-law Robert D. Jones, mother-in-law Mary Anne Jones and brother-in-law, Douglas L. Jones. Steve is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 40 years, Carolynn; siblings Jane (Tim) VanderWeele, David Wrench, Tom (Jenny) Wrench, Joan Graves, John (Amy) Wrench and Mark Wrench; sisters-in-law Kacey Jones, Barbara Downey and Diane Armstrong; nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and his extended family which included many beloved friends. A celebration of life will be held later in the summer 2021 when we can all gather safely. Should friends desire, contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center's Brain Cancer Research Fund.
