Siegwart, Stephan K. Kalamazoo, MI Steve passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at his home in Kalamazoo. He was born November 16, 1951 in Pontiac, the son of Keith and Donna (Caples) Siegwart. Steve was the code enforcement officer and owner of Michigan Township Services S.W. until his retirement in August 2020. Steve accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a very young age. Throughout his life he tried to show his love for Jesus by giving Him his time, talents and tithes. He loved his family so much and enjoyed taking them on adventures, be it fishing, hunting, 4 wheeling, boating, vacations or shopping; especially at Cabela's! He enjoyed building furniture and built different pieces for all his children over the years. This summer he built picnic tables for all of them as his "covid project". Gitche Gumee Bible Camp held a very special place in Steve's heart from a young teen on. He always made time to be up there for work weeks in the spring and took the kids and grandkids to summer camps every year possible. He always said the work and fellowship there was like no other place. Steve truly left a legacy behind in the husband, dad, grampy, son, brother, uncle and friend that he was. He is already missed greatly. On September 5, 1999 in Williamsburg, MI, he married Catherine E. Iler who survives. Also surviving are his children, Jacob (Julia) Siegwart, Keith (Heather) Siegwart, Shaina (Daryl) Eggen, Jeremy (Ariel) Cole, Candace (Brett) Taylor, Michael Cole and Toby (Brittany) Cole; 16 grandchildren and siblings, Virginia Siegwart, Beverly (Doug) Robinson and Harold Siegwart. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Fred and Marty. According to his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 2:00 P.M., at the First Baptist Church of Otsego. Messages of condolence may be posted at WinkelFuneralHome.com.
