Sidney Sytsma

Sidney Lee Sytsma, aged 67, of Gun Lake, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 25, 2008. He worked for Wolverine Building for 33 years. Sidney was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bob and Paul Sytsma; a special aunt and uncle, Dennis and Ida Spruyt; and sister-in-law, Nancy Bosscher. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Mary; his children, Robert (Lori) Sytsma, Steve (Rachel) Sytsma, Mike (Maria) Sytsma; a close family friend, Scott Frasier; grandchildren, Brandi, Jessica, Jacob, Hailey, Isaac, and Zachary; a sister, Linda (Raymond) Topping; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Arlene (Duane) DeWeerd, Marcia (Patrick) Rewa, Richard (Marilyn) Bosscher; many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at Stroo Funeral Home, with Rev. Wayne Kiel and Mark Veldt officiating. Interment in Pine Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society Grand Rapids Hope Lodge.
