Shirley Elsie Mae Figg, 93, of Paw Paw, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI.

She was born May 9, 1931 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the daughter of Robert W Larson and Nina Bell (Cuddeback) Larson.

Shirley was employed at the Van Buren County Abstract Officer for 36 years. She had a strong work ethic and truly loved her job. Shirley also spent many hours in various clubs and organizations within her beloved community. She was a proud member of the Paw Paw Lions and Lioness Clubs for many years. One of her greatest achievements was being a founding member of the Paw Paw Athletic Boosters. Shirley loved helping out at the sporting events, especially working the concession stand. She was an avid Bingo player and often attended the town's Bingo nights. Shirley also enjoyed going to the Casinos and cooking for her beloved family and friends.

She is survived by her two sons, James (Helen) and Gary (Carla) Figg; daughter, Robin (Mack) Fenstermaker; seven cherised grandchildren, Stephen (Stacy) Figg, Scott (Allie) Figg, Chad (Sarah) Payne, Brock (Jaime) Payne, Laura (Jordan) Wodnisky and Jamie (Chris Davenport) Fenstermaker, Shane Fenstermaker; great-grandchildren, Haley, Jade, Emilia, Stephen, Austin, Josh, Carter, Ian and Mason; great-great grandchildren, River and Hunter; brother, Norman Larson and sister, Susan Shanahan.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Figg on March 26, 2014; sister, Laurel Ozanich and brothers, Robert W. Larson and Larry Larson.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw. A short memorial service will commence at 3:45 p.m. with Tom Shoemaker officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Paw Paw Lions Club immediately following the service for food and fellowship. Shirley will be laid to rest next to James at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Paw Paw Lions Club or Centrica Care Navigators.
