Shirley Doyle

Doyle, Shirley 3/30/1950 - 12/8/2021 Kalamazoo Shirley Doyle (Hiscock) Shirley Doyle, 71, of Kalamazoo, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8 after a years-long battle with chronic leukemia and other ailments. She was a life-long resident of the Kalamazoo, area and attended Parchment, Lakewood and Comstock schools, in addition to Milwood Junior High and Kalamazoo Central High School. Shirley spent years working at various hospitality venues and restaurants in the area, some for more than 20 years. She enjoyed travel, especially trips to North Carolina, Denver and the mountains of Colorado and Branson, Mo. Preceding Shirley in death were her father, Edwin Hiscock, mother Doris Johnson and brother Roy Hiscock. Survivors include a brother, Ed Hiscock (Pat) of Springfield, Mo., a daughter, Christine Callender of Allegan, son Brian Squires (Mischelle) of Battle Creek and grandson Allan. Also surviving is long-time (and indispensable) partner, Bill Carter of Kalamazoo. In addition to those listed, also missing Shirley will be her fur baby, Murphy. In accordance with her wishes and due to Covid, there will be no services. Cremation will take place.
