Sharon Westafer

Westafer, Sharon L. Kalamazoo, Michigan Sharon L. Westafer, age 83 of Kalamazoo, died at Rose Arbor Hospice Home on August 31, 2022. She was born on August 14, 1939, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Edwin, Sr. and Doria (Grace) Campbell. The youngest of four children and the only girl, her father called her Susie. Sharon was a 1957 graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School. On June 15, 1957, she married Ronald Westafer. Over the years she worked as a switchboard operator for the Kalamazoo Country Club, in several secretarial roles, and she retired after many years working in the Special Education Administration Office at Comstock Public Schools. Ron and Sharon were members of the Lions Club. They looked forward to their twice-yearly adventure to Las Vegas. Her family includes her sons: Ronald, Jr. (Sheri) Westafer and Terry (Trina) Westafer; her grandchildren: Tyler (Kelsey) Westafer and Jessica (Justin) Stoneburner; her great-grandchildren: Colynns and Avery; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ron; her parents; her grandson Ronald III; and her brothers: Ed, Bob, and Bill. A private family service was held.
