Sharon Rose Lamb, age 82, passed away on May 28, 2026. Born on March 27, 1944, in Fife Lake, Michigan, Sharon was the daughter of Orville Jenkins and Ruth (Swanson) Jenkins. She lived a life centered on family, hard work, and devotion to those she loved. On May 15, 1959, she married the love of her life, Marvin Lamb, beginning a marriage that spanned more than 67 years. Sharon and Marvin made their home in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where they raised their daughters, Pamela and Cathy, before later settling in Martin, Michigan. Sharon dedicated nearly five decades of service to Humphrey Products in Kalamazoo, retiring after 49 years of employment. Her strong work ethic, loyalty, and commitment were admired by all who knew her. Above all else, Sharon cherished her family. Known lovingly as “Granny” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she found great joy in spending time with her family and celebrating life’s milestones. One thing her grandchildren will never forget is that Granny would never let them leave without giving her some sugar, a kiss on the cheek. It was a simple gesture that perfectly reflected the love, warmth, and affection she shared so freely with those around her. Her love extended beyond her family to her beloved grand dogs, who always knew Granny would have animal crackers waiting for them in her purse. Whether two-legged or four-legged, everyone was welcomed with love. Sharon is survived by her beloved husband, Marvin Lamb; her daughters, Pamela Laning (Tony Savacool) and Cathy Williams (Steve); her grandchildren, Chadwick Laning (Allison), Abigayle Williams, Taylor Lawrence (Dylan), Stuart Williams, and Benjamin Williams (Brittany); her great-grandchildren, Jack, Luke, Ella, Kohen, and an expectant Baby Williams; and her sisters, Diane Russell (Timothy), Debbie Foster, and Barb Powers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Ruth Jenkins; her sisters, Delores Dunlap and Karen Strong; her brother, Charles Jenkins; and her brothers-in-law, Bob Dunlap, Harold Powers, and Tom Foster. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, dedication, and family values that will continue to live on through those who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in the countless memories she created and the love she gave so generously. Whether you were family, friend, grandchild, or grand dog, Sharon always made sure you felt loved. Her memory will live on in every kiss on the cheek, every family gathering, and every animal cracker shared in her honor.
