Sam Pearson

Pearson, Sam R. Dorr, MI Sam passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at his home in Dorr. He was born October 28, 1960 in Kalamazoo the son of William and Reba (Root) Pearson. Sam graduated from Otsego High School in 1978 and went on to earn a degree in biology from Michigan Tech. He was employed at Evans Tempcon in Grand Rapids for 19 years. In his spare time Sam enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid football fan of U of M and the Detroit Lions. On February 13, 2009 he married Mary Kelley who survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Erica (Mike) DeGraaf and Tara Pearson; step-children, Kelsey (Ryne) Clark and Glenn Knauss; grandchildren, Breslyn, Korinne, Caleb and Zoe; his father, William and brother, David (Judy) Pearson. He was preceded in death by his mother, Reba in 2019. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Alamo Center Cemetery with Pastor Matt Bistayi officiating.
