Ruth Lyth

Age 93, formerly of Gun Lake and Parchment, was born on September 7, 1924 in Hopkins to Howard and Cleo Ryder McBride. For the past 4 years, Ruth was lovingly cared for by her daughter Sue, and grandson, Nick, in Madison, WI until March 20, when she was moved to Life Care Center in Plainwell following a short illness. She passed peacefully, surrounded by family. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grand mother, sister and aunt. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dale (2007), her brothers and their spouses, L. Daniel (Ann), Maurice (Phyllis) and nephew Danny Lee McBride. Ruth is survived by devoted brother and sister in law, J. Kenneth and JoAnn McBride, special cousin Marion Jensen, daughters Lori (David Donofrio) Lyth-Frantz, Sue Lyth, Jan (David Robin) Lyth, and son D. Steven (Kimberly) Lyth. Her loving grandchildren include Gabriella Lyth-Donofrio, Nick Lyth-Winstrom, Matthew Lyth, Benjamin Lyth, Stacey Robin and great granddaughter Ava Kind Lyth-Winstrom. Ruth is also survived by special nieces and nephews Jim, John, Tom and Mike McBride, Dave and Bill Lyth, Paula Wykoff, Sally Berner, Debbie Brenner, Julie McBride and Jill Schneidenbach. Other important relationships include those made with women through 50 years of monthly participation in Cooperative Extension. A memorial celebration will be held this summer.
