Roger Zwiers

Roger Wayne Zwiers, age 67, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017. Roger was born on March 30, 1950 in Caracas, Venezuela to the late John Ralph and Winifred (Pastoor) Zwiers. Roger was a member of Third Christian Reformed Church and was a faithful believer. He graduated from Kalamazoo Christian High School in 1967 and earned his Bachelor's degree and then his Master's degree in counseling from Western Michigan University in 1978. Roger was preceded in death by his brother Allan in 1998 and by his parents John Ralph and Winifred. He is survived by his sister, Karen (Larry) [Zwiers] Maharg of Appleton, Wisconsin; nieces, Sherri Sirna, Jennifer Fanning, Kristin Maharg Suarez; nephew, Steve Maharg; grandniece, Magnolia; and several cousins. Per Roger's request, no visitation or services are scheduled. A private burial will be at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street.
