Roger Edwin Hall, age 94 of Grand Blanc, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020. He was born on October 15, 1925 in Springfield, Ohio to parents Edwin and Ethel (Laybourne) Hall. He graduated from Springfield High School in 1943 and soon after served in the Army Air Force as a Second Lieutenant. He graduated from Ohio State University in 1948 with a BS in Biological Sciences and a BS in Pharmacy in 1951. On July 7, 1951 he married the love of his life, Eleanor Davidson. He then started working at Marshall's Pharmacy and later worked sales for Upjohn Pharmaceuticals. In 1967 he relocated to Portage and worked in the pricing division with Upjohn. He retired in 1987 after 35 years of service. Roger resided in Grand Blanc, Michigan for the last several years. He was a member of Grand Blanc United Methodist Church, the 20/30 Service Club in Marion, Ohio, and a 70 year member of Phi Delta Theta of Ohio State University. In retirement, Roger enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and using the computer to keep in touch with his friends and family. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Eleanor Hall; children: Roger (Kathy) Hall and Valerie (David) Dutton; grandchildren: Jessica, Jason, Christopher, and Hannah; great grandson, Hudson; many close friends. He was preceded in death by both parents. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St. Dr. Julius Del Pino officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am. Interment at Tremont Cemetery in Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Grand Blanc United Methodist Church.
