Robert John Brakel

Robert John Brakel, 71, of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away on December 7, 2023. He was born on June 1, 1952, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to his late parents. Robert is survived by his sister, Jackie Bloemers (Tom), and a nephew, Justin, both residing in Bradenton, Florida. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a dedicated veteran. Following his military service, he had a successful career as a Utilization Manager for substance abuse and mental health in West Palm Beach County. After retiring from his managerial role, Robert transitioned into a part-time bridge tender position for Palm Beach County.

A Memorial and Burial service will be planned at a later date at the VA Cemetery in Battle Creek, Michigan, to honor Robert's life and military service.
