Britigan, Robert Dana, Jr. "Bob" 86 of Gull Lake, MI and Singer Island, FL passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. The son of Robert D. Britigan Sr. and Dorothy Ryall Britigan, he was born April 25, 1936, in Chicago, IL. Raised in Kalamazoo, Bob was active in youth athletics and leadership. He attained the rank of Eagle Scout and was a junior counselor at Camp Rota-Kiwan. He attended State High School where played baseball, basketball and football earning nine varsity letters and all conference honors. He studied economics and geography at DePauw University where he was a proud brother in the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. Bob married Susan Locke on October 3, 1959, and lived on Gull Lake together for over 60 years. He served in the US Navy Reserve Active Duty on the USS Intrepid. His professional life began as a Director of Lockshore Farms. Following this, Bob's career was in real estate as Broker/Owner of multiple real estate firms in Kalamazoo serving the property management industry. He was a member of the Greater Kalamazoo Association of Realtors and a past Director of Michigan REALTORS. He was a CPM Emeritus and served in leadership roles with The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) including Past Chapter President, Past Regional Vice President and Governing Councilor. Bob has been a Rotarian in the Kalamazoo Rotary Club since 1961 and a Paul Harris Fellow. He was an active member of Gull Lake Country Club for 61 years. A University of Michigan loyalist, he was a charter member of The Victors Club. He enjoyed the golf course, being around the water, traveling with Susan and time with his family. Preceding him in death were his parents and his brother, David Britigan. Surviving are his wife, Susan L. Britigan; children Robert D. Britigan III (Claudia) of Parchment, MI and Virginia Page Bostic (Tony) of Vienna, VA.; and Grandchildren, Alissa Britigan, Bo Britigan and Sara Bostic. In-laws surviving include Wendy Field, Dan and Nancy Remley along with several nieces and nephews. A private family memorial will be held at a future date.
