Robert Paul Bresz, 75, of Kalamazoo passed away on Saturday March 21, 2026. He was born on June 16, 1950 to Matthew Bresz and Bonnie Gard Bresz in Detroit, Michigan. Known to family and friends as Bob, he was a graduate of Western Michigan University and spent his adult life as a resident of Kalamazoo. He worked for over 30 years for Kalamazoo Public Schools beginning in food service and later to maintenance and janitorial services where he spent the majority of time in Milwood area schools. He was an avid gardener who built his own greenhouse and an early adopter of recycling. He enjoyed vintage cars, model trains, classic rock, history, and loved to share and learn about extreme weather events. He is survived by his daughter Stephanie (Jason) Scott, former wife Maggie Bresz, sister Nancy (Dave) Conger, and nephews Matthew (Melanie) Conger, and Jeremy (Rashena) Conger. He was preceded in death by his brother Denny Bresz and his parents. Private gatherings will be organized by the family.
