Ricky E. Mason

Ricky, age 59, died unexpectedly Monday morning, September 21, 2020 at Ascension Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo, MI. Ricky, the son of Robert and Cora (Meyers) Mason, was born in Kalamazoo, MI on July 17, 1961 and was a 1979 graduate of Otsego High School. He went on to become a certified front-end specialist, later retired from being the Owner/Operator of Graff & Davis Trucking in Kalamazoo. Ricky was a big "Ford Fan" with a '68 Fastback Mustang being one of his favorites. Ricky was united in marriage to the former Pamela Ann Boyer in Kalamazoo, MI on October 22, 1988. Surviving is his wife of 38 years, Pam; two daughters, Sara A. (Gordon) Dewey of Battle Creek, MI and Stephanie L. (Taylor Coon) Mason of Richland, MI; a son, Benjamin R. (Leeanne) Mason of Augusta; four precious grandchildren, Wyatt, Ellie, Hanna and Maximus; three sisters, Kay (Greg) Caswell of South Dakota, Joyce Johnson of Gulf Shores, GA and Terri (Chris) Nichols of Delton, MI; his brother, Riley Mason of Tennessee; sisters and brother-in-laws, Tammy (Andy) Novitsky, Penny Kemp, Marcy (Matt) Stacey, Tom (Kathy Connor) Boyer, Mindy (Orville) Phillips, all of Kalamazoo; good friend, Joe Hummer and other close relatives and friends. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Ed and Sharon Boyer, Steve Johnson and Rick Skinner. The Graveside Service to celebrate Ricky's life will be held on Monday, September 28th at 11:00 a.m. in Augusta (Village) Cemetery with the Rev. James L. Sparks, officiating.
