Richard Schnur

SCHNUR, RICHARD J. Caledonia Richard J. Schnur, aged 71, of Caledonia, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, September 1, 2012 surrounded by his family. Richard served in the U.S. Navy for four years in the submarine service. Surviving are his wife, Marian "Sistee"; children, Jerry (Laura) Schnur, Steve (Lori Hernandez) Schnur, Robert "Bob" (Luann) Schnur; grandchildren, Zachary and Steven Schnur, Elly Hernandez, Kesslyn, Madelin, and Lilyan Dodde, Brooke Schnur, Hunter and Matt Walker and their mother, Michelle Walker; sisters, Barbara Candela, Carol DeMaagd; brother-in-law, Oscar Antecki; Sister-in-law, Mary Antecki; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Floyd (Kaye) Atkins; and many, many model plane flying friends. A Celebration of Richard's life will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, September 7, 2012 at the Stroo Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributionsmay be made to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice of Michigan. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
