PAAS - Richard Peter Paas passed away on his 88th birthday on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at the Grand Rapids Home For Veterans. He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Paas. He is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Barbara Paas, Michael Paas and Gerri Otto, Patrick and Joclyn Paas, David Paas, Richard and Amy Paas; 12 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Hilda Paas. Richard served in the Philippines during World War II. A memorial mass will be held at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Grand Rapids Home For Veterans or Hospice of Michigan. Barto Funeral Home
