Richard Kurlandsky, 74, of Kalamazoo, passed away peacefully at Rose Arbor on December 28, 2024. He was born on April 15, 1950, to Samuel and Bernice (Strum) Kurlandsky in Rock Island, IL. Richard was a graduate of Portage Northern High School and Western Michigan University.
Richard was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions and Tigers and would always cheer for them even during their less successful seasons.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Bernice, and his brother Michael Kurlandsky.
He is survived by his siblings Lawrence (Ruth) Kurlandsky, Sara Kurlandsky, and David (Nancy Gottesman) Kurlandsky; nieces and nephew Shana (Daniel) Brandes, Hillel (Keren Romm) Kurlandsky, Mara (Ben Ostrower) Kurlandsky, Kate Kurlandsky and Rachel Kurlandsky; and many great nieces and nephews.
