Richard Henning

Henning , Richard Kalamazoo Passed away Thursday, August 11, 2022 at his home. Richard was born December 9, 1943 in Providence, RI the son of Alfred and Margaret (Wilkes) Henning. However, he spent most of his childhood in Gahanna, Ohio. After high school graduation he attended The Ohio State University where he studied Industrial Engineering; eventually earning a PHD in the subject. On June 17, 1967 Richard was united in marriage to his loving wife Marsha (Kinsey) who preceded him in death on January 14, 2022. Richard and Marsha, with their son William (Bill), moved to Portage, Michigan in 1974 where they resided until their deaths. Richard spent most of his professional career working at The Upjohn Company. He was very active in his church community where he served as an Elder, Sunday school teacher, Bible study leader, and nursery volunteer. He is survived by his son, William (Regina) Henning; 3 grandchildren, Christian (Nicole) Henning, Evan Henning, and Jacob Henning; his brother, Alan (Rhonda) Henning; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may meet the family from 10:00-11:00am on Saturday, August 27 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 where a memorial service will follow at 11:00am. Following the service you are invited to a luncheon at the Reformed Baptist Church (RBC), 454 S. Drake Road in Kalamazoo.
