Rev. Lyman Parks

PARKS - Rev. Lyman S. Parks, age 92, departed this life on November 4, 2009. Rev. Parks leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Cleo Parks; children, Linda Sue King, Larry Steven Parks (Carla Samuel-Parks), Lana Parks-Miller (James), Londa Parks (Conrad Cooper), Lyman Starling Parks, Jr. (Glenda Pittman-Parks) and Lawana Sans Parks; one brother, Oswald J. Parks (Delores); fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Rev. Parks was preceded in death by his parents, Madison Lyman Parks and Minnie Etta Parks (Roundtree); one brother, Samuel F. Parks; three sons, Lyman Andre Parks, Lawrence Starling Parks and Leo Stanley Parks. Public visitation is scheduled for Friday, November 6, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at First Community AME, 500 James Ave. SE. Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at First Community AME at 12:00 Noon. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to services.
