Randall Near

Mr. Randall Roy Near, age 44, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2007 after a courageous year long battle with cancer. Randy was born in Fremont, MI, September 8, 1962 and will be deeply missed by his wife of 18 years, Kim; children, Andrew, Kiya, and Zackery; parents, Janice (Robert) Reynolds, and Dennis (Virginia) Near; sisters and brother, Deanna (Jose) Monteagudo, Wendy (Patrick) Coyne, Julie (Bill) Sterman, and Chad Sims; mother-in-law, Bonnie Opperman; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lisa (Russ) Bosch, and Brit Opperman; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, 2 p.m. at the Cook Memorial Chapel (east building), 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville. Relatives and friends may meet Randy's family Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home (west building) and Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
