Obituary
Mr. Ralph E. Warnstrom age 87, of Holland, formerly of Swartz Creek, MI died Thursday, May 10, 2007 at Holland Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, son-in-law, Lawrence Zastrow and sister, Vivian Carlson. He retired as a Detective Sergeant in the Fire Marshall's Division of the Michigan State Police. He was a Veteran of the Navy, serving in WWII, and a life member and past commander of the Submarine Veterans of WWII Michigan Chapter. He was a member of the VFW 3087 and the American Legion Post 6 in Holland, MI. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church of Holland and the Bethany Lutheran Church of Negaunee. He is survived by his daughters, Robin Warnstrom of Holland, Linda Zastrow of Iron Mountain; grandsons: Matthew and Daniel Zastrow of Madison, WI; great-granddaughter, Lila Zastrow; brother, John Warnstrom of Canton; and sister-in-law, Connie Gorny of Dearborn. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, at Peace Lutheran Church, 389 James St. Holland, MI 49424 with the Rev. Mark Rich officiating. Burial with military honors will be 2:15 p.m. Monday in Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. Visiting will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St., Zeeland. Memorial contributions may be given to Peace Lutheran Church or Bethany Lutheran Church of Negaunee, MI.
