Preston Covey

Preston Covey passed away peacefully at the age of 92.

Born and raised in South Haven, Michigan, he married his high school sweetheart, Ann Flickinger, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with shared adventure. Together they raised their family in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

He lived an active life and treasured time with his family. Some of their happiest moments were spent snow skiing, water skiing, playing tennis, and enjoying weekends at the lake in the summer. He also had a lifelong passion for cars and delighted in surprising friends and family with a new model parked in the driveway.

Throughout his career, Preston cherished the friendships and experiences it brought, including travel and exploring new places. In later years, he and Ann especially enjoyed winters at their Marco Island home, where they formed lasting friendships.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann, and his son, Doug.

He is survived by his daughter, Kindy Segovia (Gil) and his daughter-in-law, Beth Covey. He was lovingly known as "Poppi" to his four grandchildren, Andrea Bray (Mike), Alyssa Skolasky (Luke), Merideth Muthleb (Mike), and Nevin Covey; and his six great-grandsons, Everett, Ethan, Calvin, Grady, Keller, and Jason.

A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holland Home Benevolent Fund, 2100 Raybrook SE Suite 300 Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
