Phyllis Rogers

Phyllis Jean Rogers passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Sunset Manor in Jenison. She was born on May 23, 1932, in Otsego, the daughter of Howard and Gladys (Halstead) Kitsmiller. Phyllis graduated from Otsego High School in 1950. On August 4, 1950, she married James Rogers who passed away in 2013. In her free time Phyllis enjoyed gardening, playing cards and traveling on motorcycles all over the country with her husband. She also loved cooking and baking and spent many winters in Florida. Surviving are her daughters, Debbra (Roger) Miller and Cheryl (Terry) Strong; grandchildren, Angela Polando, Stephanne (Andrew) Moorehead, J.D. (Sara) Miller, A.J. Strong and Taylor Strong; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Austin, Samuel, Nolan, Emily and Owen and great-great-granddaughter, Summer along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, Louella (Bud) Stratton, Joyce (Lloyd) Santee and Harold (Donna) Kitsmiller. Friends may visit with Phyllis' family starting at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Alan Carson officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery in Otsego. Contributions in memory of Phyllis may be directed to Sunset Manor Benevolence Fund.
