Phyllis Goad

GOAD, MRS. PHYLLIS C. Mrs. Phyllis C. Goad, age 79, formerly of Grand Rapids and Rockford, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 19, 2012. She was raised in Patterson, NJ. Phyllis attended Moody Bible Institute where her husband, Pastor Ollie Goad graduated. She became a pastor's wife and was committed to the ministry. Her spiritual gifts were music and working one on one with the teaching ministry. Phyllis was a humble and gracious lady who was a faithful wife and mother, faithful to her God. For many years Pastor Ollie Goad was the pastor at Wealthy Street Baptist Church. Phyllis is survived by her husband, Pastor Ollie V. Goad; children, David and Rosemary Goad, Mark and Karen Goad, Jonathan and Ginger Goad, Michael and Claudia Goad; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grand-children; brother, George Creathorne; sister, Mrs. Carol Lahaie; nieces and nephews. The Service of Praise and Thanksgiving for the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ for Mrs. Goad will be Thursday, 11 AM, at West Cannon Baptist Church, 5760 Cannonsburg Road, Belmont, with Pastor Mark Cizauskas and Pastor Maynard Belt officiating.
