Philip Coy

Mr. Philip E. Coy, age 77, of Grand Rapids formerly of Kalamazoo passed away Friday evening, October 6, 2017. Philip was born October 4, 1940 in Kalamazoo to Bernard and Helen Coy. He was a member of the Michigan National Guard. Philip owned his own electrical contracting business, Coy Electric, for many years. He was a volunteer for Kalamazoo Meals on Wheels and the Frederik Meijer Gardens. On September 18, 1965 he married his wife, Karen, who survives. They were together 52 years. Also surviving are two sons, and one daughter and their spouses: Richard (Michelle) Coy of Vicksburg, Craig (Tracy) Coy of Grand Rapids, and Kristina (David) Geer of Vicksburg, 3 granddaughters, 1 grandson, and 4 great grand children. A memorial celebration will be help at a later date.
