Paul Miller of Paw Paw, MI., age 85, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Friday evening, December 29, 2023, two days prior to his 86th birthday. Paul was born in Kalamazoo on December 31, 1937, the son of Russell Delano and Mary Ruth (Rankin) Miller. Paul proudly served his nation in the United States Air Force. On July 30, 1960, he married Nancy O'Bert who survives him. Paul worked for 33 years in the maintenance department of Western Michigan University. He loved working with his hands. He was the proud owner of a vintage 1966 Buick Electra which he had restored with his sons. He was an avid woodworker and also enjoyed target shooting. Paul was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He is going to be remembered for being a great guy, great husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Besides his wife, Paul is survived by his children, Dan (Robin) Miller of Paw Paw, Sheryl "Sherry" (Steve) Gotschall of Eagle Mountain, UT, Don (Lucy) Miller of Paw Paw, Connie Shears of San Tan Valley, AZ, Sally (Doug) Horton of Kalamazoo, Ron (Maggie) Miller of Gobles; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Ron (Linda) Miller, Robert Miller; several nieces and nephews and countless friends, including his feline friends Brandy and Christy. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Olivia Gotschall; siblings, Roy Miller, Margaret Thompson and Marilyn Bower. A funeral service in witness to Paul's life and faith will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1112 N. Drake Rd, Kalamazoo, Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Paul will be laid to rest at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park, South.
