Patricia Pierce

Passed away at home on Thursday, April 8, 2021. Pat was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on August 26, 1940, the daughter of the late Fred and Geraldine (Smith) Sliter. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and attended Western Michigan University. Pat was employed by Kalamazoo Public Schools for 21 years where she worked as the school secretary at Spring Valley Elementary. She was a loving sister, mother, aunt and grandmother. Pat loved socializing with her family and friends and traveling to classic car shows with her husband, Don. Later in life, she found companionship with Ed Haberle and they traveled together often, making wonderful memories along the way. Pat enjoyed shopping and looking for bargains at sales and thrift shops. She was a gentle and kind woman with a fondness for cats and a passion for beautiful flowers. Pat touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by three sons, David (Debby), Timothy and Jeffrey (Julie) White; sister, Nancy Wichman; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Pat is preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald White; second husband, Donald Pierce; and brother, Michael Sliter. A graveside service will take place at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park – South on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Kalamazoo Animal Rescue (KalamazooAnimalRescue.org).
