Patricia Anne Perkins, age 80, of Kalamazoo passed away December 28, 2022. She was born November 21, 1942 in Flint, Michigan to the late Daniel E. and Frances G. (Magnus) Whaley. After her father's passing when she was just five years old, her mother married the late Harold Eichorn, who lovingly raised Patricia as his own. Pat graduated from Kersley Highschool in 1960, she eventually settled in the Kalamazoo area and worked for Georgia Pacific for 27 years, retiring in 2000. She married Bill Perkins in 1990, and the two of them were rarely seen apart. Pat enjoyed gardening and took much pride in her gorgeous flowers every summer. She was also known for her beautiful quilts and was a member of the area Log Cabin Quilting Club. She looked forward to any family stopping by at anytime to visit and her family was thankful for her never empty cookie jars. Pat was always up for any adventure. She was fortunate to travel some, and happy to see some Broadway shows. She even tried ziplining, downhill skiing and a few motorcycle rides. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren in their many activities. Pat is survived by her husband Bill Perkins, her children; Roger Stace, Ronda (James) Priest, Rory (Chariya) Stace, Russ (Renee) Stace, Rob (Gaby) Perkins, and Michelle (Brian) Justus. Grandchildren; Andrew (Monique), Anthony, Gianna (Jake), Miranda (Josh), Jimmy (Alexis), Ethan, Grant, Levi (Natalie), Cody (Alyssa), Garrett, Lauren, Audrey, Sebastian, Alessandro, Kayla, Tanner, Brendan, and Deagan. And 9 Great-grandchildren. Friends and family may gather Friday, January 6, 2023 from 1-3:00pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009, where a time of sharing will follow at 3:00pm.
