Patricia Morrissey

Morrissey, Patricia 9/29/1939 - 3/21/2017 Naples, Florida Patricia (Pat) Morrissey, age 77, of Richland, MI and Naples, FL died at Moorings Park in Naples on March 21, 2017. She was born September 29th, 1939 in Cincinnati, OH to Bartlett Palmer and Chastina (Sprout) Palmer. Pat was preceded in death by her husband Dale Morrissey in 2009. She is survived by her children, Stephen (Ramona) Morrissey of Naples, FL and Alan "Alex" Morrissey of Plainwell, MI; granddaughter, Morgan Morrissey. Nephews John Schuen, James Schuen; nieces Kristen Schuen and Katherine Deighan. Pat spent her childhood in Cincinnati in the winter and at Crystal Lake, Benzonia, Michigan in the summertime. She attended Albion College and graduated with a degree in Art History. She met Dale through his sister Janice who was her roommate at Albion. Beginning in the early 60's Pat and her family visited her parents in Naples over the Christmas holidays. After Dale retired, they spent summers in Richland and winters in Naples. After Dale passed away in 2009, she moved to Naples and lived there year round. Pat was active in the Yorkville Community Church (both choir and as secretary) in Michigan and a member of the choir at Moorings Presbyterian Church in Naples. She also participated in Junior League of Kalamazoo, Michigan for many years. Dale was a graduate of the University of Michigan and both Pat and Dale enjoyed attending athletic events and supporting U of M Flint through the Vaughn Morrissey M.D., and Leona Morrissey R.N. Scholarship. A memorial service is being planned.
