Patricia Miller

Patricia Ann Davis Miller, 66, of Springfield, Michigan, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at Battle Creek Health Systems. She was born May 6, 1944 in Itta Bena, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Willie D. and Cecelia Williams, Sr.. She moved with her family to Battle Creek and attended the Battle Creek Public Schools. She graduated from Battle Creek Central with the Class of 1963, and later completed two years of college. She moved to Chicago to live near her sister and returned in 1969. She was employed by the Eaton Corporation, prior to beginning her employment with the Defense Logistic Service Center, where she retired asa Program Analyst March 31, 2009, with more than thirty years of government service. Pat was a member of First Salem Missionary Baptist Church, where she formerly served on the Church Anniversary Committee. She enjoyed shopping and traveling. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by brothers, Willie D. Williams, Jr. and Charles R. Williams. She is survived by her husband James B. Miller, Jr., son, Shawn T. Shaw of both Battle Creek, brother, Albert (Jacqueline) Williams of Alpharetta, Georgia, sister, Yvonne Williams of Dallas, Texas, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, special nieces, Lauren Williams and Alyssa Williams, God-daughter, Tracy Gober of Lawrenceville, Georgia, special daughter, Valerie Wilson of Battle Creek. Visitation after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at T M Hughes-Perry Mortuary , where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services, 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2010, First Salem Missionary Baptist Church where the Reverend Craig Tatum is the Pastor, and Reverend Eddie Moore will officiate.
