Kelly, Patricia A. Kalamazoo Patricia passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Upjohn Community Care Center. Patricia was born February 9, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA the daughter of George and Veronica (Guminski) Maloy. She retired from SBC, formerly known as Michigan Bell. She was a longtime member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Parchment, and was actively involved in Newcomers upon moving to Michigan. On June 24, 1961 in Philadelphia, PA, Patricia wed James C. Kelly who preceded her in death on December 18, 1990. Her youngest son, Paul Kelly passed away suddenly on July 25, 2014. Surviving is a son, James (Bronica) Kelly of Kalamazoo; two daughters, Mary Patricia (Michael) Brewer of Charlotte, MI; Kathleen (James) Schroeder of Fairfax, VA, eight grandchildren Andrew Brewer, Sara (Jake) Bunker; James, Christopher, Dylan and Kiana Kelly; Melissa and Matthew (Kourtney) Schroeder; daughter-in-law, Gina Kelly of Ft. Collins, CO, sister-in-law, Helen Skelton of North Wales, PA; cousin, Agnes Neas of Willow Grove, PA; and many nieces & nephews. Patricia's greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved watching sports, namely the Cubs and all Philadelphia sports. She had a deep love for the beach and spent many fond years with family and friends on the New Jersey shore. She loved to travel, read, sew and quilt and loved animals. Due to Covid restrictions a private family visitation will be held on Friday, Dec 11th and a public Catholic Service and Internment will be held on Dec 11th at 2:00 pm at the West Cooper Cemetery, 7530 Douglas Ave, Kalamazoo. The family wishes to thank the Upjohn Community Care Center and Hospice of Southwest MI for their loving care of their beloved Patricia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest MI.
