Patricia Joan Ouding

On December 14, 2019, after a six-month battle with cancer, Patricia Joan (DeVries) Ouding found peace with her Lord and Savior. Patricia was born October 30, 1941, the second child of Claude and Nellie DeVries. Patricia grew up in Comstock and graduated from Kalamazoo Christian in 1959. Patricia pursued a career in cosmetology and in 1970, she and Stanley started Stan Ouding Bedding Plants. The two worked side-by-side for over 30 years. Patricia enjoyed traveling with family and friends, wintering in Florida, and spending summers at Kline's Resort. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, and two infant children. She is survived by her son, Steven Ouding, daughter-in-law Donna Chippewa, daughter Sueann (Ouding) Nowak, son-in-law Greg Nowak; and grandchildren, Alyssa Ouding, Brandon Ouding, Megan Nowak, and Andrew Nowak. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8:00 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49009. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 20 at Lakeland Reformed Church, 10442 S Sprinkle Rd, Vicksburg, Michigan 49097. A reception will follow. A private interment will take place at Mt.
