Patricia Jean Robinson

Went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday January 14 2020. She was a life-long resident of Portage/Kalamazoo MI. She was the daughter of Albert and Ann Dokey. Patricia was a 1954 graduate of Nazareth Academy. After graduation, she worked at the Kalamazoo Gazette before marrying Lonnie Robinson in 1959. She helped Lonnie run his business Portage Manufacturing company in the 1970's. In the 1990s she worked at Sears. After that, she was a long time employee of Continental Linen Services, in the accounts department. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, singing, dancing, reading and loved dogs. She spent the last 10 years with her little dog Max as her constant companion. Patricia had a great sense of humor and it made her happy to make others laugh. If she asked your name, she would remember it. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her sisters; Betty Woods, Mary Cline and Sally Heimstra, her ex-husband, Lonnie, her son, Curtis. She is survived by her children, Brad and Darci Robinson (Bruce Crume), nieces and nephews. A private family gathering to celebrate her life will take place in the near future. Avink Funeral Home, Schoolcraft MI. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Rose Arbor Hospice or Ministry with Community in Patricia's memory. Pat will be remembered by many and she would like you to remember her with joy, friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss. She will be missed very much by many.
