Patricia Endsley Fenn passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, at the age of 93 after a long journey with Alzheimer's disease. Born in Kalamazoo on October 28, 1931, Patricia was the daughter of the late Donald and Verna Endsley and the beloved sister of Donna Hackman. Patricia married Michael Fenn (now deceased) and became a devoted young mother to four children while also working as a teacher. The family lived in the Caribbean for many years, a time that deeply influenced her creative life. After her children left for college, Patricia turned her full attention to her art. She became a gifted artist in San Juan and the proud owner of an art gallery in Old San Juan. Later in life, Patricia returned to Kalamazoo to help care for her mother. There, she remained active in both community and political life-volunteering with the Kalamazoo River Watershed Council and becoming involved with the local Republican Party-all while continuing to create art. She also found great joy in gardening. Patricia is survived by her children: Robin Endsley-Fenn, Heidi Fenn, and Tobin Fenn. Her eldest son, Peter Fenn, preceded her in death. Patricia is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Madeleine and Jake Zimmerman, Vanessa and Megan Fenn, and Michael Fenn; her nephew Brad Hackman; brother-in-law Alan Hackman; and son-in-law Jeffrey Zimmerman. As well as Nephews Mike and Steve Northuis. Patricia was deeply loved by her family and many friends, and her warmth, creativity, and spirited presence will be greatly missed. A memorial celebration of Patricia's life will be held at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home on Monday, July 7, 2025, beginning at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, c/o the funeral home. Family and friends may share a condolence message online at www.joldersma-klein.com.
