Patricia Banks

Patricia A. Portage Passed away Monday afternoon, January 31, 2022. Pat was born January 27, 1929 in Port Huron, MI the daughter of Leo and Lucille (Kilroy) Crimmins and was a longtime resident in Portage. Pat graduated from St. Stevens High School in Port Huron on June 8, 1947. She took college courses in upholstering and interior decorating. She also helped Bill build the house where they lived since 1955. Over the years, she worked at Land Title and Abstract Company in Port Huron, Portage Public Schools, and Wil-Care Nursing. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother. She loved family camping trips, baking, gardening, Christmas, and traveling with Bill. On October 8, 1955 Pat was united in marriage to her loving husband, Billy C. Banks who preceded her in death on December 13, 2008. She was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Margaret Powers, Madeline Graw, and Rosemary Piper. She is survived by her sons, Christopher Banks, Kevin Banks, Patrick Banks, Timothy Banks (Lori Fisher); 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joan Cribbins, and Mary Crimmins; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be held from 5 – 7pm on February 17, at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 411 E. Centre, Portage, MI 49002. On February 18, there will be a memorial gathering at 10am, and Funeral Mass at 11am at St Catherine of Siena, 1150 W. Centre. Private interment will be in Portage South Cemetery at a later date.
