Obituary
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Patricia Anne Leversee on December 22, 2025. Pat was born at midnight April 4, 1927. When she was young she celebrated her birthday on April 4 because it was a day earlier but as she grew older she celebrated it on April 5. She is deeply mourned by her daughter Gay Hegedus (Ted), daughter Star King, granddaughters Gina Dettloff (Adam), Chardonnay Van Ekelenburg (Brandon), Lydia Leversee, grandson Nathan Leversee (Shari), great-granddaughters Aubrey Dettloff, Dahlia Van Ekelenburg, Adara Nelson, great-grandsons Jacob Mick and Archer Van Ekelenburg. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Pat's love of art brought joy to her Art students at Gobles High School and she loved watching their interest go from a minor to a major part of their lives. Interesting enough she had her daughter Star and son Dean in her art classes.
Pat traveled with husband Guy to visit daughter Star and son Dean in CA and later spent a few winters with daughter Gay in FL. She was also very interested in Genealogy and traveled around collecting information and had quite a number of albums with different branches of the family on both sides. She was an avid reader and even though she developed macular degeneration later in life she found ways to read and listen to books every day. She played games on her iPad and stayed mentally sharp even to the end. She could remember things her daughter Gay forgot! As she got older she spent 11 years with her granddaughter Gina and her family in Rochester Hills, MI and enjoyed every minute with great granddaughter Aubrey. When her health began to suffer she went to live with daughter Gay in Ludington, MI for 6 years before moving into Assisted Living near Gay. She was active and involved and made friends for the 5 months she was there and they grew to love her like we all did. She was preceded in death by her husband Guy, son Dean Leversee (Georgia), son in law Michael King, sisters Gerry Krotz, Wanita Waigand, Donna Wells, brothers Paul Grauman, and Duane Grauman. Also her sisters-in-love, Beatrice Leversee, Joyce Pomeroy, June Hustafa, brothers in law Gordon Leversee and Ray Leversee. Pat was 98 years old and the last one left on both sides of the family and ready to be with them all. Please join us on January 2, 2026 at the Bloomingdale Chapel of Miller Funeral Home from 11-1 for visitation and then stay for the service at 1 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to the Gobles Public Schools Foundation or BrightFocus Macular Degeneration Research Program.
