Orville Cobb

Passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 31, 2026, to join his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in heaven. He was 98 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Elizabeth Cobb, his wife Patricia, his sister Eunice Corson, his brother Alvin Cobb, and his oldest daughter Sharon (Jim) Gore. Orv was born January 30, 1928. Orv attended Kalamazoo Central High School on S. Westnedge. He was married on October 1, 1947, to the love of his life Patricia Marker. They enjoyed over 71 years of marriage together. Orv worked several different jobs over his lifetime and retired as a draftsman of 34 years from Flowserve around 1986. Orv loved playing golf, fishing, working in the yard, and traveling with his wife Patricia, seeing the country and visiting their children, grandchildren, and friends. He is survived by three of his children: Beth (John) Simmons of Alto, MI, Lynn (Greg) Roth of Kalamazoo, MI, and Wayne Cobb of Kalamazoo, MI. He was blessed with 7 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. A memorial Service will happen on July 25, 2026, at Oakland Drive Christian Church 7331 Oakland Dr. Portage, MI 49024. Visitation will be at 10:00 am followed by an 11:00 am service. Pastor Gwen Steenhoven will officiate the service. The family kindly requests that any memorial contributions be made to Oakland Drive Christian Church in lieu of flowers and plants. Orv lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed his family and friends. We praise the Lord that he is now at home with Jesus, to live eternally in His kingdom.
