Norman Fouts went on his last earthly adventure passing away on January 14, 2024.

He was born in the midst of WW2 in Chicago to Paul and Helen Fouts and was the youngest of 4 siblings. During his formative years in Chicago he was surrounded by many cousins, aunts, and uncles who had a significant influence on him. The family moved to South Haven when he was a teenager. It was there that he gained his love of God's creation, including Lake Michigan and the wonderment of the outdoors. He shared his sense of adventure with his family through many camping trips, travel, scuba diving, sailing, skiing, and prospecting for gold!

Above all, his passion was his family. Spending time with them, celebrating their success, and making sure that everyone was well fed was paramount.

He spent his career as a detective for the Kalamazoo Police Department, a Zoning Administrator, and as a real estate investor.

He is survived by his partner and soulmate Annie (Blueberry) Hartmann, daughter Marcia (Chris) Boettcher, and son Ken (Jan) Fouts. Granddaughters Rachel (Jake) Fouts, Dr. Madeline (Tyler) Fouts, and Erin Boettcher. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date this coming summer.

Memorial Contributions can be made to Mary Free Bed or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
