Norman Cekander

Norman Duane Cekander, 73, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away at his home Oct. 18. He was born in Three Rivers, MI, to Howard and Jennie (Slack) Cekander, and was a long time resident of the Kalamazoo area. Surviving are his wife Carolyn; children, John (Carolyn) Cekander, Karmon (Jeff) Reynolds, and Cathie (Chris) Lewis, stepchildren, Scott (Jodi) Nagle and Melissa (Keith) Markley; grandchildren, Katie, Kristi, Nathan, Alex, Jessica, Leslie, Jordin, Justin, Michael, Selena, Heather and Alan; great-grandchildren, Alayna, Lucas, Faith, Esmeralda, Jaxon and Lily; brother, Howard "Butch" (Charlene) Cekander. Preceding him in death are his parents and a brother, Doug Cekander. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, with a memorial service following at 8 pm, both will be held at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen, Indiana. Memorials may be directed to The Maples or Harbor Light Hospice of Goshen Indiana.
